OpenLoRA Content and Copyright Policy
DRAFT FOR REVIEW — NOT YET EFFECTIVE. Draft version: 2026-10-29-v1. Effective date: [TO CONFIRM: publication and effective date].
This policy applies to prompts, gallery material, uploads, training datasets, LoRAs, generated results and use of OpenLoRA. The operator is [TO CONFIRM: legal name and public address]. Contact and reports: mail@openlora.org.
1. Permitted creative use
OpenLoRA supports general creative work and non-explicit adult content for users who are at least 18 and have legal capacity. Non-explicit fashion, swimwear, artistic or suggestive material must still comply with local law, individual consent, third-party rights and model-provider restrictions. An adult-only audience is not permission for explicit pornography.
2. Prohibited material and conduct
Do not use the service for:
- Sexual exploitation, nudity for sexual purposes, sexual activity or sexualization involving a minor or a person presented as a minor, including synthetic, illustrated or age-ambiguous depictions. “Fictional”, “aged up” or consent from an adult uploader does not make such material acceptable.
- Explicit pornography, including graphic sexual activity or graphic genital exposure intended as sexual content. This restriction applies to generated and uploaded material as well as training requests.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual deepfakes, voyeuristic material, threats to publish intimate material, or coercive sexual content, whether real or synthetic. A public photo is not permission for sexual manipulation.
- Impersonation, identity fraud, deceptive endorsements, doxxing, stalking, targeted harassment, unlawful discrimination or disclosure of another person's private information without a valid basis.
- Instructions or material facilitating serious violence, abuse, trafficking, terrorism or other illegal activity, or content unlawful where it is supplied or used.
- Copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, confidentiality or other rights infringement, including uploading a dataset you have no right to use.
- Bypassing safety filters, access restrictions or ownership checks; unauthorized collection of service/user data; malware, credential theft or attacks on the service.
Do not submit sensitive personal records or photographs of minors for likeness training. Safety filters are a supplementary control and do not replace these rules.
3. Permission for people and training data
Only submit material you own or are authorized to use for the specific requested purpose. Obtain informed permission from identifiable adults before submitting their likeness for custom model training or uses requiring their authorization. Permission to take or post a photo does not necessarily include permission to train a model, generate new depictions or make commercial endorsements.
You must be able to explain your authority if a credible question arises. Do not misrepresent permissions. We may decline or suspend processing while a rights concern is examined. A statement by an uploader does not remove the depicted person's own legal rights.
4. AI disclosure and publication
Review outputs before use. Apply AI-generated or manipulated-content disclosures where required, particularly for realistic depictions of actual people or events. Do not remove legally required provenance or mislead people about authenticity. Generated work does not automatically have exclusive copyright or a license to use a person's identity, a brand or another creator's work.
Private uploads and results are not automatically public gallery submissions. Any future public submission or promotional use requires clear terms and the appropriate permission at that point.
5. Report harmful or infringing material
Send reports to mail@openlora.org. You may report without registering or paying. Use a subject such as “Content report”, “Copyright notice” or “Intimate image removal” and include:
- The exact service URL, item ID or other information reasonably sufficient to locate the material. Include known duplicates if safe to do so.
- The reason it is unlawful, prohibited or infringes your rights, and the jurisdiction relevant to your complaint if known.
- Your contact details and, if acting for someone else, your authority to represent them.
- For copyright claims, identify the protected work, the allegedly infringing material and your rights or authority; include your good-faith statement, accuracy/authority statement and signature as required by the applicable notice procedure.
Do not send us additional illegal material, re-upload intimate images unnecessarily or provide excessive identity documentation. We may ask for information genuinely needed to verify a notice. We protect reporting information and share it only where necessary and legally permitted; we cannot promise anonymity in every legal proceeding.
We assess reports promptly, take proportionate protective action and comply with applicable removal deadlines. If the US TAKE IT DOWN Act applies to the service as a covered platform, valid notices concerning covered non-consensual intimate depictions must lead to removal within 48 hours and reasonable efforts to remove known identical copies as the law requires. This is not a promise that an inbox alone implements the statutory process.
[TO CONFIRM: establish and test the actual notice/removal process, staffing, duplicate handling and legal reporting procedures before publication. If relying on US DMCA safe-harbor provisions, register and publish the designated agent and implement the relevant notice, counter-notice and repeat-infringer process. No registration or safe-harbor status is claimed by this draft.]
6. Decisions, review and appeals
We may decline a request, restrict material or an account, preserve necessary evidence, and make reports to authorities when required. Where legally permitted, we explain the decision and offer review. Email mail@openlora.org with “Content appeal”, the decision or item reference and your explanation. A human review process and any statutory review rights must remain available where required.
Counter-notices and restoration follow the applicable legal procedure; we do not automatically restore disputed private or intimate material merely because someone objects to removal. We do not tolerate abusive reports. Refund and consumer rights remain governed by the Payments & Refunds Policy and applicable law.
